The Aspres region
The panache of le Vignon
The tradition in all it’s elegance. Planted on terraces curving along the contours of the hill, this vineyard of 30 hectares, partly goblet-trained, lazily blends into the roundness of the lower Pyrenean relief.
Budding forth amidst fragrant scrublands, between thyme and rosemary... bravely bearing an ardent climate, as well as powerful gusts of the reputed tramontane, this region vibrates with an intense uniqueness. At 400m above sea-level, anchored on schist marble soils, the land presents a most favourable spot for the growing of Carignan, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Marsanne and Muscat.
Delicately prepared and caringly thinned out by the heedful Lafage Estate hands, this vineyard affords an incomparable quality of produce, with perfectly mastered hints of acidity. Yielding 15 hectolitre per hectare, the rendered nectar is appreciated for its roundness and concentrated aroma, reminding us of the rows of vine swirling their way around the foot of the mountain, absorbing and emanating its force!!
